Gosh, I am now taking an Ornithology course and all these birds are on my to know list for the final. I will have to ID them by sight. AHHHH!!! Im good with frogs and plants, and extra good with scientific names, but Im not so good with which birds look like what. Well at least I know the red winged black bird all too well. Oooh Canada Canada Canada. hehee

Very nice... I often bike in my subdivision...I've seen raccoons and opossums I envy you for being able to bike in the everglades. The best I can do in my area is bike at Point Pelee National Park.

Great nature pics Dave…but I never knew you could bike in the everglades I always imagined it as one big, huge swamp that you need one of those boats with a giant fan on the back to navigate around in..was it scary walking around in there? You know gators and snakes..?.

Hi Jo Ann, Shark Valley is part of Everglades National Park, Great place for tourist to see the glades Check out these 2 links they can explain it better then I can. They let you in for free after hours. We go at Night and when there is a full moon on the weekend they have organized rides. But my friend and I have been going there 1 to 2 time a week for about 10 years. So No there is nothing to be afraid of, just be mindful that there can be a snake or gator in the road, but they move when they see you (some times). I recommend it highly.
