Yes, that's an olive tree. Here, everywhere you go you'll find hundreds of them.
In the background are grapevines...again, everywhere you go you'll find them.

Strangely, I was born in Spain and lived there for a few years, and would love to visit someday. I live in New Mexico in the USA. Sadly I would not count as a Spanish Duo-Citizen. I love the pictures of the rain and olive trees.

Where in Spain have you lived?

Hi! I lived in Madrid until we moved to New York. I was the kid of Americans working at the US Air Force base at Torrejon de Ardoz.

Madrid... not the best place to see olive trees. But a nica city, anyway.:)

We are expecting the arrival of the summer next week.
Temps around 45ºC/113 F for a few days and then it gets cooler again into high 90's.
Some of my orchids will suffer with these temps if left outside, but as they are small plants, I'll put them inside.
I will be out for a week and I won't be here to take care of them...and I'll miss my Stan wardii first bloom...and don't even know how it smells.:(

How is the weather now?

rbarata 08-19-2018 03:57 PM

For the last days and whole next week for my city temp forecast is 40 ºC (104 F) max / 20 ºC (68 F) min.
HR ranges between 13 and 80%.
Clear skies, lot of sun...ideal for a swim at the river.:)

That sounds nice! We are in a typical monsoon season. We had two weeks of partly cloudy weather with some evening rain, relative humidity 30%, temperatures between 85-102 F / 29-39C. Now we expect a week of sun, low humidity, 85-110 F / 29-43C. Between Tuesday August 7 and Saturday the 11th I had 3.5" / 90mm of rain at my house.

This year we had cool temps and rain until July...I have never seen that before, at least that I can remember.
I think some of my plants were mixed up due to that...
