Default What is this plant?

I have had this little plant for a while, and it's now in bloom, but I don't know what it is. I know (or THINK) I know it's not an African violet. The care tag said to treat it as one, which I have.???

I use to have one if those light years ago. It's in the gesnariad family and my dim memory says a sinningia of some sort. Google photos of them...

I would have said no but there are soooo many varieties! ES will know. It has stumped my plant finder app.

Yes, the tablet searches. Several times I have searched for plants that resemble African violets. Nothing has come up that looks like this. I did the searches before I asked here on this board.
