Phals are definitely the way to go, then. The little orchids from Justaddice were cute but not as elegant as the larger ones. Paying ten dollars for the larger Phals is pretty good. Sometimes Carmelas Orchids has specials for blooming Phals and free shipping that might be an even better deal. If you live close enough to Hausermann's, you might even discuss buying Phals in bloom wholesale from them. Sometimes, they have very good deals on orchids. I have sometimes paid $7 or $8 for an orchid only to receive it in bloom or bud.

When I first started collecting orchids, the Cattleyas were the orchids revered for their elegance but Phals have definitely replaced them. The Dendrobiums were the orchids most often used in flower arranging but Phals have replaced them in that, too. When you would see flowers in an elegant setting, in the past, this would be roses but, now, it is Phals. It is amazing how popular they are.

I still have my wholesale license, which is good across state lines. Hausermann's was $14.00 per and I would have had to supply the decorative pots ( or I could have tied them in tulle). I will for sure check out the links. I went over budget and offered to pay the difference but my boss was so happy (he's a peach anyway) that he picked up the excess. The only problem was that they had obviously set in transit due to the hurricane so a couple of them weren't good. I weeded them out at Lowe's.

It was many years ago but I got the little justaddice orchids for about $6.25 each with the discount. They do come with the ceramic pots and there are plastic liners inside the pots. The orchids were very healthy with good roots. I was quite pleased with what I received.

Good luck!

They last longer with poor care than almost anything other than silk flowers.

Maybe the orchids need to be in spectacular health to survive the just add ice torture.

They have to be tough to handle that ice even for a little while. I am certain the orchids are watered with room temperature water by the vendor before they are sold.

Same here. I was interested in seeing what they had but that screen to have you sign in blocks everything. Definitely need an X there.

Try to just go to their website. It was on yesterday or the day before. Since it's a daily deal site they may be gone.

I don't recall having to do anything to join...but my UPS man is glad I did.

Well, to plug them, you can't return items as they are close outs but, if the item is defective or breaks, their customer service is outstanding. I actually just bought wrapped canvasses for our home and new office.
