Now, in all seriousness, the best way to get a song out of your head is to start singing the theme song from "Gilligan's Island." It magically erases any other songs in your brain.

Oh what a pain that is. That is the reason I avoid Christmas music at all costs! Thru the season I keep cd's in my car because I can't deal with the radio constantly playing it! I know tons of folks really like it, so no offense meant here, and I also realize that there are many other songs that are just as "stickable"!

I am now playing 'Its Raining Again' by Supertramp to get that song out of my head! That always helps me erase songs from my mind and it is never an ear worm for me.

I actually like about half of the Christmas music, including the traditional Christmas carols (in German, too), Carol of the Bells, and a certain arrangement that is a combo between Simple Gifts and Pachelbel's cannon. Some of the music is quite beautiful. I do not listen much to the radio during the holiday season for good reason.
