If you are not a swimmer, there are often water exercise classes that do not involve swimming. Water kickboxing, Water aerobics, etc.

Ambien is said to cause a lot of strange (unremembered) activities. I personally would not take it due to this. Would hate to climb a roof and think I could fly, you know? I had problems with another prescribed drug that worked with a portion of my brain that apparently made me see hallucinations of weird spaceship type things (in the bedroom) and spider-like animals. It was fun for about 50 seconds.

Yeah. I'm not going to mess around with this. I've got an appointment with my doctor this afternoon. I also have my eye on an elliptical machine. I would love to have an elliptical machine. No impact and a good workout!

The elliptical sounds like a great solution. My oldest daughter, a pharmacist, wasn't too keen on any of the sleep inducing medications. She said it was safer just to solve the problems leading to the sleep disorder.

Good luck!

Thanks! Christmas is coming. An elliptical machine might just fit under the tree🙄

Ambien is a sort of frightening drug, and a semi-hypnotic. At one time I was prescribed it. One morning I opened my email and saw charges from the Apple Store. I presumed that my son had used my account, but when I asked him he said he hadn't. Instead, while zapped by Ambien I went on it was I who did the downloads.

When I went to my doctor he told me a funny story. The husband of a patient came to him and BEGGED him to take his wife off of Ambien. Once she was under she became a sex freak. As a result, HE was getting no rest at night!

LOOOOOOVE my elliptical! I have one 'getting-bad' knee and one 'getting-bad' hip (opposite sides wouldn't you know!), from old injuries, so I still need to be careful of foot placement but it's much better than a treadmill and a WHOLE lot better than the stair climber.

I highly recommend getting one that has programmed workouts built into it. I can do freestyle on mine but the programs really keep you on your toes by fluctuating the intensity throughout the session. Love it!

We have one at work, I've used it when we bring the patients down to the recreation area. And I fell in love with it. Couldn't really get hot sweaty cuz I had another 5 hours to go, but it was an experience that really got me considering this machine.
