Happy Thanksgiving to all! This is one day out of the year that it's acceptable to wear elastic waisted pants

Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrators, and Happy Day to the rest of you. I'm thankful for this place to while away the hours! And for the turkey and other abundance, also.

I hope everyone had a great T-Day! We spent it with family at the family gathering spot (which means...no cooking and no leftovers!)

You are one blessed lady, Leafmite! I've been trying to get out of the kitchen for years. The best thanksgivings we ever had were spent at the Gary Indiana direction. Our friend John used to do BIG Thanksgiving dinner there! We could cook, serve, cleanup and socialize. It was a wonderful thing and then...it stopped...other attempts to serve that day were not so joyous.

Some years are better than others. We have actually enjoyed the ones where everyone went elsewhere and we stayed home, 'trapped' by the kid's High School swim practices, and cooked our own turkey dinner or just settled for making a nice pan of lasagna, salad, bread and dessert. Our family Thanksgiving dinner is more like a skit on Saturday Night Live than what is seen in those sappy commercials. Yeah.
