I just received a healthy Nepenthes rajah x mira from Orchids Limited. I have had some success with N. maxima and N. alaia. Anybody have any advice on care differences? I suspect it may be cooler growing.
Hopefully, it should produce large pitchers on a plant that is easier and faster growing than the N. rajah parent. And hopefully it won't require the blood of people named Audrey and Seymour!
Couldn't resist that last remark.
N. rajah X mira is no more difficult to grow than the average Nepenthes hybrid, which is to say its MUCH easier to grow than N. rajah.
Night temps in the mid to low fifties (Fahrenheit) are ideal, and daytime highs should be limited to about 85F, with lots of ambient humidity.

Oh yeah.....and how many Nepenthes do YOU have?

The part I really liked in the movie was the Steve Martin crazy dentist song.
I also love that part! I was a kid when that movie came out, but my parents let me watch it, and my dad is a dentist, and he superficially resembled Steve Martin, and I just thought it was soooooo funny
