Yay! I got my first interview! An Admissions Counselor at the Community college! It pays about the same as a beginning teacher, and I can learn what I need to know to move upward in the "College Admissions" career.
It is great to hear about you planning a career as a big step in your life.
1st you got to get qualified. To me that is the biggest step and you have it.
My days of full time work are gone and worked in many jobs all related and had great success.
As I go into my later years am still planning to work till my last days. It looks like rare plants are going to be the best thing for me to do for the time I have left.
I have worked in horticulture for most of my life. Did all the certificates to many horticultural disciplines and finish a diploma as a multidisciplinary horticulturist.
Have done annual displays to 50 ton tree transplants. Put a Parks & Recreation Department together for a large council over a 4 year period. Put all the procedures together and trained all staff in all disciplines.
But growing plants is the best time I have ever had. The plants do not talk back as much as people and that is sooooo nice. lol lol
