Canadians - 100th post
For my 100th post I'd like to say high to all the Canadians out there on the Forum. I grew up playing hockey in the northeast US, but I now live in Texas. I miss a lot about the northern climate and culture. I was pretty surprised to see so many Canadians on the Orchid board and how many of you are growing tropical orchid species!
Most Americans that I know (at least the ones in their right mind) have a deep respect and familial admiration for our Canadian neighbors. The fact that you are growing tropical orchids up there is just icing on the cake!
Way to grow!

I kinda feel like I’m in my right mind….but I’m sure there would be a few who would question it…

I'm kinda on the fringe
You know what they say-there's a fine line between genius and insanity. Well, I'm not close! However, I do respect my neighbors to the north.

Yea! A gold orchid! I didn't even know that was coming!
I like this board too much to get political here. I just happen to like Canada, and it was nice to see so many Canadian orchidophiles!

Thanks Royal Orchids...believe you me, we Canadians appreciate all you Americans too....you have always been like 'big brother' to us.
Not that you asked, but why I like orchids is that up here in the cold frigid Cdn. winters it's nice to see something beautifully tropical bloom to take us away to dreamland, even if temporarily! Of course, I would have to get one TO BLOOM to have this dream....but this is a challenge I can't seem to live without....
Thanks for your kind words. I hope all your orchids bloom like a dream...
Helen

And a thank you, Royal Orchids, from the west coast of Canada. It's a privilege to share in this great forum where we all have a love of orchids in common. And to those of you mentioning frigid weather, where I live spring has arrived!
