science fiction horror movie
Hi guys, this is the last chance to find the titel of a movie I saw when I was 7 or 8. Here in Italy it was in on TV in late '80 first '90.
As I remember the story, more or less was: On the Moon scientists/astronauts found an alien creature. The alien was like a chrysalis, dark, and opening, two or more tentacles sprout out to take mechanical piesces ad build a body.
I remember the aliel with a mechanical ody destroyed a housing unit. All the mission was to avoid an entire spaceship full of these eggs could reach the Earth.
They had success destroing the spaceship but, in last seconds of the movie, an egg is shown in a scrapping tip building a new body.
Couyld you help finding the title?
Movie is for sure not made over year 1992, I beleive 1980-1985.
Thank you guys. I'm almost 25 years looking for it

I don't have a good memory for movies and your synopsis doesn't ring a bell. But didn't one of the "Alien" movies have eggs?

Yes they have, but it's not from the Alien saga (Alien and Aliens are my favourite movies btw).
This was a low budget movie

This one has a lot of similarities to what you describe. If you go to the full synopsis, the movie ends with the alien on earth, in a car junkyard.
Some of it sounds different than what you describe, but I think I would have trouble remembering all the details of a movie I saw when I was seven or eight!
Moontrap (1989) - Synopsis
Good luck in finding it!

This could have been any episode of Lost in Space, Dr Who or Star Trek. Maybe a tv series marathon viewing is a good option? I'm a sci-fi buff and your plot synopsis doesn't ring a bell. Was it in English?

Could be, but I was sure it was a movie: too long for being an episode and usually they didn't send on air on that channel. But there are some actors well known like Walter Koenig from Star Trek or Bruce Campbell.

ahahhahaha that day I was at my Granma's place, so I convinced her to see the movie.
But I've always liked that kind of movie, space & horror.
Nothing has been more scaring than The Thing from J. Carpenter when I was 6 or 7...
Maybe that's the reason I took aerospace engineering at Uni?

I don't think I've ever seen that movie, but maybe. It was a long time ago. I am a science fiction fan, but not so much the horror end of it, the really scary stuff. And I haven't seen much of the newer stuff that's out. Now, if you want to talk about Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, or Babylon 5, I'm your girl!
I hope you get a copy of Moontrap soon and it's as good as you remember!

Wow! I am in awe of your search abilities, can't believe you found it. Awesome lol.
When I was about 6 or 7, I saw a really scary sci-fi movie that I loved and a few scenes always stayed in my head over the years. Years later as an adult, I tried to remember what it was called and could never remember and when the Internet got big, always tried to figure out what it was called but never found it. Then, about 5 or 6 months ago I was flipping through channels on TV and saw one of the scenes I remembered. The movie was called "Five Million Years to Earth" and still sent chills up my spine in some of the scary parts near the end. Worth watching it f you haven't seen it already.
