Need to find it and visit.

Wow. The Joshua Tree of Olives! It's beautiful, too.

We have blue ones in the Dunes National Lakeshore but, they are scarce and very ephemeral...

The blue ones are used mainly as decorative in gardens.
Many farmers here used Lupine to prepare the lands for the following cultures. Lupine roots go deep into the ground and which promotes air entrance and their roots have the ability to fix the nitrogen in the ground.

Right, they are in the legume family, I think. Here they are a favorite food of the Blue Carner (sp) butterfly, which sadly, may be extinct. I wish I had a spring picture for you but, all I have are Lenten roses and a few bulbs so far.

That ancient olive tree is stunningly beautiful! I had no idea they could get that old. I love trees. I am a forest dweller at heart. I know we have the bristlecone pines in the western US which can be up to around 5,000 years old. I hope to visit one some day.
Thank you so much for sharing those beautiful photos from Portugal! I'm excited about the arrival of spring, too.
