Have purchased my plants from 2 different sellers. One sent me a very dark grey colour to the plant. The other seller purchased plants arrived yellow. So is the yellow plants another Tillandsia all together or does it have a different coloured plants like grey & yellow?
I apologize for any misunderstanding.

You had mentioned that two different vendors sent you the same species of plant, although the plants looked different and one had a yellow color. That was the reason for my comment (especially after noticing the structure and color of your second plant).

My initial thought was: your second plant might be a T. streptocarpa (look similar to T. duratii and are often confused with each other).

Far from perfect, but appreciate the kind words. Indoors/outdoors, artificial light/natural light ~ after years of doing it both ways, I can say this with confidence: happy plants are the result of the growing conditions provided to the plant by the grower.
