It reminds me of some of the old military/officer barracks buildings I've seen in pics. The kind you'd see in very early forts.

Maybe not exact, but Fort Niagara looks similar. The war of 1812 was significant in Canadian history, so maybe searching for old forts etc. from that. Hope this link works for a picture of Fort Niagara:
