I wanna go play in the snow too!!! Well, we don't have snow in Brazil but the temperatures this summer are at least 10 to 12 ºC below the normal. It has been a rollercoaster with the temps and several friends who grow in shade houses are loosing plants, they (the plants ) simply rot. Kiki, wish the warm days come soon for you!

The fun continues! We got freezing rain after the snowstorm with powerful winds. Sometime after midnight we lost power. My husband got up at 2:30 am and decided to get up and go in to work because his alarm was not working and he was afraid to fall asleep and miss his time to wake up (4:30 am). I laid there thinking....my orchids! Brrrr. So I got up and started the kitchen cookstove...in the dark....fun! The cookstove is just off the sunroom where most of my orchids are. I stayed up and tended the stove, had instant coffee, and read by candles until dawn. The power came back on at 9:00 this morning. Yeah! The winds are still strong so I expect to lose the power again today, but it's daylight and the sun is out! Double yeah!
For now, anyway.....until that evil Ross sends more snow my way! I'm just kidding Ross!
Note to self: Get unscented candles my next trip into town. Darn near had my nostrils collapse with all those different scents! Whew! kiki
