Default What's the name of this grassy plant?

My sister works in a hotel, and one of the clients really likes a grass that they have in the hotel landscaping. This is a photo from when it was flowering this year. I'm normally very good at IDing plants, but my college horticulture classes didn't cover grasses. Any ideas what it may be?

Not a grass, looks more like Crocosmia (Iridaceae) in fruit.

Thanks!!! I was assuming it was a grass since my sister said that was a photo of it flowering.... And I know that some grasses can have inflorescences like that.

That was my first thought as well. I grew the cultivar Crocosmia 'Lucifer' at my previous house and the hummingbirds loved it. Beautiful display of bright red flowers. The plant habit is like a slender gladiolus.

I think it is a Sisyrinchium, a member of the Iris family as other people have suggested.

I would guess Belamcanda chinensis (Iris domestica) or one of its hybrids. Seems we're all in agreement on Iris family though. Probably can't be sure without a good pic of a fresh flower. Do you know the color and pattern of the flowers? These appear to be wilted/dried.

I would vote for Freesia hybrids, also Iridaceae. They're more common than the other plants mentioned, have short fruits like this, and most hybrids have pale tan seeds the color of the dried fruits. The plants mentioned all have different looking corms, which would provide certain identification as far as genus.
