Went for a visit to the UofA Peregrine webcam tonight - looks like 3 chicks in there and they were pretty active!

This link goes right there http://www.falconcam.med.ualberta.ca/cam2.html

Smart birds stay in during the rain......!

Sue, that's a lovely pool you have there - looks like you need someone to swim in it!
Let's have a big Orchidboard pool party!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband may just smother me in my sleep for even suggesting that...but it would be a blast!
My dog Sammi makes the most use of it
She's part dog, part fish, part human!!! Superdog

pat - i saw the title and raced my cursor over!! i LOVE peregrine falcons. i've had an obsession with raptors ever since i was a little kid - especially when i spotted a pair of golden eagles chillin a few hundred yards from my house - must have been on their migratory route.

when i learned that a peregrine had been clocked in dive at 219 mph, they instantly became my favorite. if you get pictures, id LOVE to see them, especially if you have high res originals. GREAT FIND!!

there's video available (for money, non-free) of a guy skydiving with his pet peregrine falcon. it's pretty awesome to watch it flying right beside him while he's in freefall.

Hey, here's a photo I took of a bird overhead during the migration last month. There's a nesting pair of 'grins on a cliff near my house. It's pretty incredible to watch these birds hunting, especially if you can watch from above!
