So that's the name. Very fitting!

There was a name tag in the pot, but it only said capsicum annuum ornamental pepper.
I knew what capsicum meant, but had no idea what annuum is. still don't. ha~

Do you know if the fruits go from red to black or the other way around??
Most of them were red, but few were black.

I think red really highlight the whole thing against black leaves.

There are a number of peppers like Black Pearl and Black Knight with black leaves (actually, dark purple, like the black sweet potato vines) and similarly-shaped fruits (which are atomic hot.) Some have white flowers and some have purple. Some have fruits that mature green-purple-red and some go green-red-purple. I'm not familiar with Black Pearl.

They start out black, then turn red when mature. And watch out because they are HOT peppers!
