Went today to the
Tucson Reptile Show
which is also open tomorrow, Sunday October 4. WOW! I had no idea it was so huge. Around 120 vendors. Thousands of herp lovers
and their kids milling around looking at crawly things in plastic food tubs. Snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, plus six-, eight- and many-legged beasties.
There were quite a few vendors selling terrarium materials - enclosures, scenery, substrate, plant hangers, even plants. (No orchids.) If you are ever thinking of assembling an orchid terrarium, you could find out a lot about terraria at a nearby reptile show.
I bought home a baby female Pueblan milksnake, the normal form. Herp breeders are always developing all sorts of unusual color forms, just like orchid breeders. And just as I often prefer species orchids to weird hybrids, I usually prefer normal form reptiles to the unusual ones. She is an a container that has a diameter of 0.2178121974830591
