Purchased this in March at the Orchid and African Violet sale in Denver. I repotted it in the most adorable pot ever and placed it in a very sunny windowsill. The wait for flowers was only 5 months I love AVs with the fantasy spots or any spotting at all. Enjoy African Violet Rob's Astro Zombie-imageuploadedbytapatalk1436896226-151180-jpg

DeaC, I love that site, I haven't ordered anything from there yet...... I am at odds with myself, do I order some African Violets or some orchids? Ugh the struggle!

That is really cute! I love how small it is, too!
My 'mini' African violet has gotten huge so I guess it isn't a mini. Though I have checked out the Violet Barn a few times, I haven't bought a second AV, yet.

I was thinking that in Oct when the next orchid show is scheduled, if they will still have an AV show and sale at the same time, I will go they were selling this kind and many more for only $2? Ridiculous right? I felt like I was stealing the sellers goods lol. Well next time I go I think I might pick up more. The pots were only $7, ugh they were adorable, every kind of color imaginable. I have the pot makers info if anyone wants it. She doesn't have a website or sell online

I've bought AVs from Robb's, they were all healthy, nice plants. They have been growing well, but I having a problem with one I got from Robb, an AV with white double petals, called Cotton Ball I think. This plant keeps growing out sucker crowns repeatedly and it is driving me crazy. None of the others do it - any ideas? Just the genetics of this variety?

Sorry Joseia, I don't know what the problem could be? I have heard of the dandy little sucker scalpels that make cutting them off really easy. They look like a tiny scalpel attached to handle. I hope someone tells you what the problem is. If I ever find an AV forum, I will let you know here I want to find an AV forum really bad. Pls share a pic of your AVs, I would love to see them

Depends on what you consider "huge." In the AV world, "mini" refers to plants that remain 6" or less in diameter. Most will get to be in the 4"-6" range.
