What To Do With Cactus Fruits? Eat and Sow??
Default What To Do With Cactus Fruits? Eat and Sow??

This is the first time any of cacti I've tried produced fruits for me.
I picked them off the plant yesterday as I saw there were tiny black things ( I assume they are seeds??) inside the fruits.

I'm sort of tempted to taste them first as some of the cactus fruits I've eaten over the years were quite nice. hahaha
Are any of them poisonous??

If I were to sow them, how do I go about doing that?
Are cactus complex hybrids that seedlings will yield highly variable progeny? How long from seeds to germinate and to mature to a flowering size plant?
and is it worth going through the whole thing?

Until I get good answers, I'll enjoy looking at them.
Somehow they look like mini pineapple. Don't you think?
So cute!

Any helpful info will be highly appreciated.
