My mom gave me pieces of this plant about a year ago. She brought them back (to Massachusetts) from her fathers house in Florida with the intention of planting them. She gave them to me and I put them in a container with dirt and they have been growing ever since but they are starting to get out of control. The stems are starting to break due to the weight of them hanging out of the container. I'm hoping to find out what they are to better understand how to care for them. The stem is more woody closer to the dirt and thin roots seem to just stick out everywhere. Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, looks like a Crassula. Perhaps C. aborescens?

Here's another pic that shows all the stringy root type things. I googled images of crassula arborescens and mine doesn't really grow like a tree like that one does. The leaves definitely look similar. Mine seems more like a vine.

Now that I can see the shape of the leaves it definitely looks like Kalanchoe marnieriana

I searched that and that must be what it is! Thank you! This thing was out of control so I took some cuttings and replanted them in a couple other pots. Thanks again!
