Seemania sylvatica
Hi all,
Here I wish to share with you a blooming gesneriad that I grew from seed. Every year I get this plant to bloom, I pollinate it and collect the seeds. I set the seeds to grow by summer and by December I have blooms. This year I had two pots, but the first one bloomed while I was away on vacation. It also died of thirst while I was away. So no chance of survival there.
At least my second pot survived and is blooming now. But for whatever reason I have not gotten the flowers to produce pollen.
These have their anthers mature a day or two before their styles. So far I have not been able to get a good coating of pollen from the anthers. I hope I get some success.

Wow! Very fetching! Lovely shots, too. Incredible intensity of color.

I have to try these. Love the color.
Just googled something that might help with the propagation

Sounds good actually. The mist chamber thing probably explains why this plant is growing like a weed in my terrarium.
