Default Aloe africana

Another one from my visit last Monday to the New York Botanical Gardens. This one was a monster. In retrospect I should have taken a panoramic of it. The flowers were about 15 feet high up and I couldn't do closeups of it. Its the biggest/ tallest Aloe I have ever seen. Sorry I failed at getting the whole pick, but when staff are yelling at you about using a tripod you tend to do quick snaps.

Here is Africa, some aloe species can grow very large and tall, I have see some aloe specimens in the bush growing over 3 metres. But sadly these are rare now due to over collecting.

Thats too bad. The one in the picture seemed to be over 2.5 meters tall.
