azalea unamiously
if its an Asian azalea it will not have any fragrance and is also an evergreen plant. Very hardy and cold tolerant.
slow growers, like it cool, partial shade, such as the filtered light of tall trees, and an acidic, well-draining soil. shallow roots cant take too much excess of water. They bloom on old wood, so pruning should be done after flowering in late spring so that you don’t remove buds being formed for next year’s flowers.
I planted some of these last year and they stayed in bloom for months and months. No fragrance but the foliage really looks good all year long. With fragrant azaleas they are stringy taller growing plants that get out of shape fast. This one should stay small.
good luck!!!
