They glue fake flowers on top of the cacti in walmart. It looks like they used a hot glue gun sometimes!

I think some folks haven't a clue how lovely these plants are "au natural" or what kind of plant it is to begin with. Guess it's a phase for the holidays. And what's with all the crazy hair colors on girls?! To each his own. Happy Thanksgiving folks!

They are also doing it with amaryllis bulbs, gold painted bulbs, being marketed as easy to grow no need to water bulbs since all it needs to grow is in the bulb. Poor bulbs..well, thankfully initially it will grow truly, but why paint the bulb..such marketing inanities.

Call me crazy, but the more I see these kinds of plants being sold, and the older I get, the more I'm getting the hint that there might be people out there who cannot accept things for what they naturally are or something. What makes the behavior of selling painted plants all the more bothersome to me is that there are people who are willing to sell a plant that has been altered from its natural state. This is far more disturbing to me than a painted plant because it signifies an underlying willingness for some people to be deluded or lied to, and when they find out that the plant can revert back to its natural state, there is a chance that some people could lose interest in it or not accept the plant for what it is. It seems to say a lot about society in general. Idk, it's just an observation, maybe I'm overthinking it. Who knows...

I like dyed phals, but these sprayed colored blue anthrium is just ugly. lol
They should pick different color or different tone.
Or they are just meant to look their best in white or red as they naturally come.
I love intense deep red and glossy anthriums!!!

YUCK! I've seen a few tillandsias being sold with a bit of spray paint on them, to make them look like they're about to bloom. It always bothers me, and I refuse to buy them. UGH.
