Default Confused spring bulbs

Back in early April, my mom and I got some bulb plants from Wal Mart. She got a pot of hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils, and I got three little individual hyacinth pots. I'd been meaning to repot my hyacinths after they'd died back, because I wanted them all in one pot and I was tired of them always falling over, but I never got around to it, so my bulbs are still in their individual pots.

My mom's plants:

We're not even trying to force them. We're just leaving them outside by themselves. I guess the erratic weather is doing it.

It is interesting that one is in bloom, although they do not look like they have developed properly.

While it is not the right timing, it is not totally strange.

For fall planting (or spring blooming ) bulbs like tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths, the next seasons growth are already there inside the bulb by the late spring when the bulbs are finished flowering and ready to enter summer dormancy.
During this dormancy, this next year's growth (I guess I should use a better term for this structure, but can't think of it off the memory now) will slowly develop a new structure that will later become flowers.

As temperature cools in the fall, the bulbs grow roots and the new shoot will come up slightly above the bulbs. This is how they will stay under the ground the entire winter until the weather warms up in the late winter or early spring, when the bulbs start to grow the shoots fast turning them into leaves and flowers.

Depending on the bulbs, but most have at least two to three months dormancy under temperature below 45-40 to bloom properly.
They will still bloom without proper dormancy, but the quality will be disappointing if they bloom at all.
