For me, I'm remembering John Keating from Dead Poets Society, Andrew from Bicentennial Man and Genie, from Aladdin. My kids and I watched it so many times, that I have Aladdin memorized from front to back.

It's tremendously sad! What a great talent we have lost.
If anyone ever feels that depressed talk to someone, if you don't have anyone to talk to feel free to private message me.

Jumanji, Aladdin, and FernGully are some favorite movies from my childhood... I'd totally marathon those three later if I had Aladdin on anything other than VHS. Then again, that might be too much anyway and just make me cry

Wow, this is shocking... I feel down sometimes, but I'm not a multimillionaire with a Hollywood resume longer than my arm!
I guess depression can strike anyone and it should not be stigmatized.
Still, I can't imagine that someone like him would take his own life by apparent self-suffocation. What a horrible way to die! He was a drug addict before, he should have at least gotten an overdose of heroin or something, it be easy in the SF Bay area!

Yes how terribly sad this is. Goodness it does seem strange but I think depression has no boundary's. How can someone that made use laugh so much be so sad inside. RIP

So sad indeed! The news today mentions he hang by a belt when he was found.
Will truly miss him..have watched a lot of his movies through the years. Good Will Hunting, Bicentennial Man, Jumanji, Patch Adams, Night at the Museum, The Birdcage, Good Morning Vietnam. And his voice over talent was just amazing!
For all his inner turmoil that is now being discussed endlessly, truly an exceptionally talented man to endure it through the years and manage to entertain and humor us. His display of laughter and happiness is in itself a cover for his own inner sadness. Depression is such an insidious situation to tackle.
For his family our compassion. May he Rest In Peace.
