Ahah! Would you like to grow some again? Dividing time is approaching! I guess shipping even half of these huge puppies to Vancouver, perhaps, not sane.....but bet you would take amazing care of them!

Sad thing, that's often not true re what I give away after dividing, I mean including orchids...tho I give detailed instructions and also print them out.

Edit: I couldn't remember when I learned about the new classifications, so I just delved. No biggie, but such things are at least interesting.

Another edit:

I wanna say, my BF says the lovely tiny white flowers on my sprengeri smell like buttered popcorn! And I revisited them....and OMG, he is right!

That might lead me to: perhaps esoteric insects who like to go to the movies....pollinate them.

No expert here, but judging from ferns in the Pacific Northwest, they like humid, moist earth, lits of organic matter, low light. Maybe a combination masdevalia/ phal culture. They obviously survive snow, but maybe not prolonged freezing. They have little pollin buttons on the underside of the fronds, and pollination occurs when some animal brushes against the pollin and brings it to a receptive plant. No other clue as to how seeds are produced.
