Not too worried with the water, it will not stay long there, it is so dry here, and very windy too and our temps sizzle so high to triple digits so it is better for it to sit in distilled water for now. We got so poor humidity here..30% and lower. So pretty much lots of evaporation going on and then I add new water as needed.
My other concern is the amount of sun, just the awkward location of my garden so I do not get more than 6 hours of full sun. Hope it will like just 4 hours and then dappled to shade.
I do wish the tube openings are a bit wider, hard to see if it is already digesting something. Next time if this is successful, I will try the other upright Sarracenias, they have wider openings easier to see.
