I have been fighting this weight thing for quite some time. I am kind of hoping that if I get my weight down, that I won't have to fight the blood sugar quite so hard, that it won't be so difficult to control. I have lost 21 or 22 pounds since March 1. It is coming off slowly, but atleast it is coming off. I go to the gym almost everyday. I think I am becoming a gym rat, but I guess there is worse things that I could do with my time.

Oh yeah, and when you are feeling bad about not losing weight fast enough, buy an orchid. Works to boost the spirit every time.

Leg Press to be delivered next Wednesday
And I am really excited about it. I have been wanting to add one of these to our gym equipment for a long time. I got plenty of weights to go with it, too. Man, those things are expensive!! Three hundred forty pounds of weights was about $450. Makes you wonder where the dumb bell is in this picture.

Modified my treadmill workout today
Since I have no bike where I workout on Sunday, I have a mile warm-up on the treadmill. I changed it a little bit today to get my heart rate up somewhat.
5 minutes 0-2% incline
1 minute 4% incline
1 minute 5% incline
1 minute 10% incline
2 minutes 5% incline
1 minute 10% incline
1 minute 5% incline
1 minute 10% incline
2 minutes 5% incline
5 minutes 2-4% incline
Then, I was raring to go for a 45 minute session with the weights.

I finally got my leg press/hack squat machine
And I really like it. The only problem is, I will have to buy some new weights soon. I can all ready lift all the weight I bought. My brother has some more, but I will probably have to buy about 150#. (limit of machine is 500#)

I am trying to wear the bike out
at the gym. I had 121 miles this week, in addition to three workouts and four miles on the treadmill. It has really helped me to lose a bunch of weight--14 or 15 pounds in 15 weeks.

I received a kidney
transplant last October 30th. I actually am doing quite well. Thank you for asking.
