Good that it finally worked out.

We should totally start a thread about pet birds!

I wish I could have pets but not going to happen here.

I used to have finches and parakeets.
They are so cute!!!

Beautiful orange wing! I used to have a blue fronted amazon. They are a noisy bird, but so intelligent! Now I have a pacific parrotlet that I have had for 13 years. They are wonderful mini parrots with tiny voices.

I currently have a Black Capped Caique and a Blue Throat Macaw. The Macaw's cage is right in the front window, and when I pull in the driveway with my windows rolled up I can hear her yelling my name clear as day.

The blue throat macaws are a rare, gorgeous bird. The caiques are known as clowns.

Blue Throats are much more common in captivity than in the wild. I expect to live long enough to see them extirpated. My Caique is the most fun thing in the world until he decides he doesn't want to be.

Parrots can be a lot of fun but it is like adopting a child. I still miss my amazon. She made us laugh every day.

That sounds like your typical amazon. Today I took my parrotlet out to our yard in his cage. We were watching a crow chasing an eagle, and for some reason my little Smurf found this hilarious and was laughing his little head off. Maybe it was because a smaller bird was picking on such a big one.

Your lucky to get to take your bird out side on a nice day. Mine can never be out where she can be heard she got one nasty mouth on her and didn't learn it from me, all her T's come out sounding like F's so for the 27 yrs that I've had her she stays indoors. LOL
