Default Hibiscus -finally blooming again this year

Had a rough year last year, couldn't care for my plants as normal. my hibiscus are all finally recovering and starting to bloom again. I also have a seedling that has been growing close to three years and is FINALLY going to show me a flower - i can't wait!

there should be two pics, the yellow and red one is Hula Girl and the pink one is supposedly Bridal Veil. now just waiting on the seedling to bloom.....

Hibs can be pretty forgiving. Just make sure to do a repot at least every couple years (yearly isn't a bad way to go) to freshen up the soil. If you wish to keep them in the same size pots you currently have them in, just make sure that when you repot you also trim the roots as well as prune the branches.

Nice flowers; I have always liked hibiscus. I have one that is a blue flowered form that is semi-dormant at the moment.

I use a good amount of fertilizer this plant to keep it blooming in the summer.

I made some seeds with a couple different ones many years ago and it was really cool to see one of my seedlings flower for the first time.

Default It bloomed!

One of my seedlings has finally bloomed - and looks almost exactly like the suspected pod parent...just smaller right now. if i remember correctly, this seed came from a random pod i found on a bush at disneyland....now i wait and see if future blooms stay this mini size or if they move up to the regular size.
