if you PM me in mid-June as a reminder, I will send seeds.
More photos - 2 separate areas. Next month I move my orchids into the shady spot under the Korean Viburnum shrubs.

only about 20% of the tulips were open during our visit to Holland MI. Gives us an excuse to go next year.
Still worthwhile as there was an art fair, good food ( Dutch Bakery - ever had a cake with cream, coconut and marzipan layers, yumm ) and I stocked up on plants for my containers.

Absolutely gorgeous. Would love some seeds if you don't mind.

Very nice! I always enjoy the spring bulbs. We planted a bunch when we first moved in (the naturalizing type) and get a faithful show every year. Our tulips are finished and so next up is the irises and peonies.
I am sorry you missed most of the show in Holland Michigan. I had, at first, thought that you had gone to the Netherlands and missed that show!

I should be able to harvest tarda seeds soon - those who want ( free ) please PM me with your mailing address.
They must be scatter planted this year as they need the cold period to ensure germination. I don't know if these can be successfully grown in areas that don't have freezing winters - I just know how I grow them.

from Wikipedia - "Tulipa tarda is native to central Asia, growing in rocky subalpine meadows"
