Wasps?
I had a problem with wasps making their nests in the alcove of my front entrance. We were constantly knocking them down and getting rid of the nests, just to have them back the next day.
I read the following in the quarterly magazine that comes from Lowe's, suggested by master gardener P. Allen Smith:
Paint the ceiling area where the wasps are nesting a sky blue color. They associate it with the sky and don't attempt nesting there.
Well, I thought...yeah, right! But they were becoming such a nuisance, I thought we'd try it. Guess what!
It works!!! We've had maybe 2 wasps in there since it was done about 6 months ago!

Cool - I'll file that one for future reference.
My wife's cousin has the most effective way of getting rid of wasp nests around the farmyard. He shoots them with a shotgun! As you can imagine, it causes the nest and a good portion of the inhabitants to totally disintegrate. The ones that are left are soo messed up that they done and don't come back. No stings either!

Great remedy, now if I could find a way to get those unwanted poop's away from my screened patio. I popped one off the screen in the middle of making himself at home just for him to come back within 6 hours...same place mind you, the nerve, got out the heavy artilliary, "Home Defense Max". That's the end of that one...now if I can get his friends and family members to move down the complex to the neighbors it will make me a happy camper.

I saw these at a couple of garden centres yesterday and today. Supposed to keep wasps from setting up shop and keep them away from the area it is hanging. Pretty cool. I might try it out.
