Mine is not terribly exciting. It is my son's middle name. I tried to be creative with the kids names as my father did to me.

Actually I am, but don't remember that name from there. I actually was reading a book (sci fi) when I was pregnant. There was a character named Serina Daeth. Loved the name but it reminded me too much of death so I added an en.

Not sure if the spelling is the same, but the guy Mel Gibson's character rescues to use as a ticket into the refinery compound was named Daethen.

For the most part, my name is Fredi*Frogi on every fourm/board I am on.

My high school nick name was Fredi, and even tho i'm 34 most of my friends from HS still call me Fredi.

I love frogs. My house is full of them (not real ones) tho I did have a tree frog that lived on a plant for awhile...when I decided my house wasn't buggy enough for him I moved him back out. He came in on a swiss cheese plant.

Many many times, except for Deep Space 9, which was never rerun much. Too bad, I really grew to like it.

As a child, my father calls me 'bud' as an endearment, and mouths out my long full name if when mad at me.
My friends and schoolmates followed suit calling me 'bud', since I like to bring home new friends to show them my airplane collection and my antique train set....nowadays my new friends come to check out my orchids.
I once asked my neighbor friend why she didn't call me by my given name:
"I see your name on the mailbox, but I hear your friends and the 'super' call you 'bud' in the hallway....so it felt odd to call you otherwise. I feels like like I don't belong.

A friend of mine and I used to go around town just looking at stuff. We joked that because we were both Gemini, we were unusually attracted to shiny things and one day I came home from shopping with my friend and hubby asked me what was in the bag and I looked at him and said, "Random gemini weirdness." Hubby laughed and registered the domain for me as a birthday gift and that became the name of my blog and everything else that I do on the Internet, too. It's also the license plate on my car.
