Default Well, we made it through another night

without too much trouble. It has to hold out for one more day and then, it is supposed to warm a little bit. Then at the end of the week, it will cool off and snow some, but it will be a welcome sight compared to the ice.

Good to hear from you Gregg. Hope everyone else in the mid west is safe and sound and warm. We just heard over here about the power cuts and the state of emergency.... I sure hope this doesn't last long!

Don't know if it helps with your forcasts, but we were out in shirt sleeves (shoveling snow ) this afternoon. First "warm" spell in weeks. Hopefully it's headed your way.

Default Well, we got hit again

Not as badly as some of you folks did, obviously. I think there must be six or seven inches of snow on the ground, but that is a picnic compared to some of you in the northern Midwest and Northeast. All I can say is stay warm and

We got hammered last night on top of over a foot already on the ground. Good thing the snowblower is gassed up and ready to go.

Well, it doesn't compare to the snowstorms lots of you guys are getting hit with but here in Paradise, we're in for a few wintry days. Tornado watches all through last night, huge thunderstorms (weather alarm went off twice during the night!), very windy today and the temps by me will be at or below 32 tonight and tomorrow night. That's an extreme change from the 72 we woke up to today!

Default My Grandfather lived in Florida

for quite a bit of time. When we went down to visit, I always found it amusing that people on the way down there in 50 degree weather had their winter coats on. I always thought to myself, what would they do if it was cold?

I always laughed at them too, when we were coming down to visit. Now, I've become one of them! Not quite as drastically...but when there's a 40 degree temperature drop in a few hours, we FEEL it!
The worst part is preparing all of the landscaping and plants for the blast, the poor babies aren't used to that
