Can anyone tell me what the name and type of plant this is? I rescued it form my daughter in-law she was killing it. It looks a lot better now than when I got it from her

Probably a Caladium (Araceae).

Syngonium or more common name of Goosefoot plant . Related to climbing Philodenrons . Warm growing, keep compost moist at all time. Redice watering in winter

Yeah, Syngonium. Too many similar hybrids and cultivars to be specific. Among the very easiest of houseplants. Bright indirect light, even moisture, but tolerant of a wide range.

The first pic made me think possibly Caladium, it had a pinkish hue, leaves a little too round. The second pic is all Syngonium. Very tough to kill. Just give it water.
Moving this to the Off Topic forum.
