Amaryllis Seedlings - Any advice

i was reading up a bit on amaryllis( i gave in and bought a few on sale form home depot) - so far 4 spikes is the most people have really seen but that it takes a lot of energy out of the bulb to produce so many.

Many well-grown Amaryllis will send up two stalks per season. Three is also rather common for the varieties bred for cut flower market.

My Ambiance, Show Master, and Alfresco always make three or four stalks.
