Tropical Rhododendron "Fire Plum"
Hi all,
I continue with my Vireya (tropical Rhododendron) addiction. Here is my latest bloom which I have growing in my large exoterra terrarium along with a handful of Orchids.

Beautiful flowers. I'd not heard of this genus before, so I did a little reading.
Kind of cool that they're essentially epiphytic and I also thought it was interesting that the fertilizer recommendation was for high nitrogen, calcium and magnesium, but low potassium. Fits right into the low-k theory for orchid fertilizing.

Beautiful! I didn't know you could get miniatures. I have some large ones in our yard.
