I was mgr of gubler orchids, we sold thousands of butterwarts and we never fed them anything except what any plant lives on, water, sunlight for photo synthesis and occasionally a little liquid fertilizer. We also sold thousands of venus flytraps to those who had to put meat in the trap and then watch it rot the plant. Enjoy your plant and don't worry it will not starve. K.J.
