These plants are beasts!!!! The flowers are so large in comparison to the plant that I had to weight down the pots with random rubbish to keep them from tipping over.

These are the florist gloxinia variety, so they will go completely dormant for a bit after they stop blooming. They are perennials though because the tubers survive and re-sprout in the spring. Hope that answers your question.
I forgot to say the hybrid names.... The purple spotted one is Peridot's Darth Vader and the red one is Bristol's Good Morning. Both were obtained from the Violet Barn.

Ooh, I love the Peridot's Darth Vader!! And, it's named after my birthstone (August!) Absolutely beautiful!! They both are gorgeous!!
