Hello Everyone,
This cute succulent "jumped" into my basket today in the local gardening centre. Unfortunately, no tags, no culture tips.
It has very hard leaves and I really like some leaf varigation showing.
Any idea about its genera and culture, e.g. lighting, watering, type of soil prefered, etc?
Looks like a Gasteria to me. Sorry I can't narrow it beyond that - there are a lot of both species and hybrids.
General succulent culture, like a jade plant (Crassula) works for me - bright light, not direct sun, well-drained soil like a standard C&S mix, water less when not growing .... hmmm, a lot like I treat some of my terrestrial orchids!

Second the Gasteria "diagnosis"; they do sometimes flower. I keep quite a few succulents on a sunny windowsill indoors, and they seem fairly happy. They don't get watered very often (every couple of weeks) and they grow and flower fairly regularly.
Like most succulents, they tend to prefer a freely draining medium (easiest way of doing that is to be heavy on sand and perlite etc. vs. compost/soil).
