Yes, I second the heat, sun, & water... These guys grow on the coast here, most that I see, are growing in very near to full sun (I don't see as many in the heavily shaded areas... They r more like weeds, they just grow all over the Outer Banks of NC), I would also assume they like well-drained soil... Sand would work in the potting mix as well
How are they doing now btw?

Thanks for the info

So far they are doing good I have not repotted them yet still need to order the sponge rock
