but conch is not considered weird, isn't it?? maybe not as common as potato chips but they are like clams. they are sold at any small and large markets in NYC. canned, frozen, fresh.

Can't buy conch here anywhere that I have seen and I live on the coast. I think it is still a very regional dish.
