Default Some piccies of my little frog's set up

I had to work out somewhere to put my little froglet friend while he was so tiny so this is what I have come up with. It's a 3 litre glass lolly jar. i filled the bottom with coco chips and put in a small bromeliad, a Masdevallia barlaeana and a chunk of large moss. So far he seems to really like it, the bromeliad doubles as a water bowl so I don't need to have anything artificial in there at all which I love! If any one has any idea what type of moss it is I'd love to know, I've been carting this piece around for about 5 years from house to house The frog loves the moss, he spent a while sitting up on the brom leaf but is now tucked under the moss against the glass. I have set up a glass jar in the kitchen and another outside on the BBQ in the hopes of catching some small insects for him to put in there in the morning.

Looks like sphagnum moss to me...

What a lovely little creature! Looks so cute and I like its stripes. Cute!

It's hard to tell from the photos but he's quite bright green in the light and should get even greener as he grows. Definately not sphagnum moss, it's is very coarse and the leaflets are almost spikey.

That's the cutest froglet and it seems he likes his jar. Brom looks so huge comparing to him. I think you should name him .

I know and really it's only a seedling, the first one I pulled out of the garden was too big and looked funny in the jar so I had to cut an even smaller one, it's only about 4 inches tall in total. Hopefully he grows quicker than the brom and i don't have to replace it LOL

Happy to take name suggestions. I did always say if our third child was a boy we'd call him Felix but we had a girl so maybe he can have that name(since there will be no more babies here).

Nice. Hope he survives. He looks a lot like our Pacific Tree Frog.

That is the perfect name!
I never had frogs as pets but maybe they sell frog food at the pet store?
