My pleasure, all the pics were taken in the NYC area.

I'm going there soon, I was looking on their menu and the duck breast looked good. But the aged steak did too... I don't know what I'll get, except definitely a foie gras appetizer which will likely be duck not goose.

I watched Duckumentary on Netflix the other night.
I loved it!!!

I think most of the ducks photographed here were on it.

One thing I particularly liked was how the just hatched ducklings of Wood Duck would jump out the tall tree and land on the ground without being injured.

Amazing nature!

Yea, I love that duckumentary too. That jumping out the tree, thats amazing. I would never make it as a duck.

Years ago a pair of wood ducks nested in the cavity of a tree just a small distance from the front door of our house. They were rather shy and in order to get a glimpse of them I had to be very quiet and make no sudden moves. I never could figure out just why they nested here as the closest water is a small lake at the end of the street about 1/4 mile away. The tree with the cavity is still here but I have never again seen the wood ducks.

That sounds pretty typical wood duck behaviour. They don't like to nest close to the water.

I had seared foie gras appetizer (I don't remember if they explicitly said it was duck, but goose foie gras is much rarer so it probably was), and although I prefer the terrine de foie gras, it was still very, very good.
