Very cool... Absolutely huge figure, you can feel a powerful presence around him, yet when he talked to us he sounded very easy going and comforting. There must have been about 50,000 people in St. Peter's square that day and he didn't care, gave us full attention. Definitely a moment to remember.
We got married in Rome, so personal blessing by the pope was a major bonus.

Married in Rome - very nice and so romantic....we are seeing a side Marty not previously exposed!!
Regardless of one's beliefs, St. Peter's Square and the Vatican City is inspiring and ovewhelming. I was fortunate enough to be there with much less people in the square, but only saw the Pope from his window.
How long did you have to wait to see him, was it for wedding blessings only. Pretty amazing.

Yes, just a blessing for the newly weds. We didn't wait long, maybe an hr or so. First there were all the cardinals, swiss guard, pope mobil..time flew, it was like a spectacle. We didn't want to be trapped in the whole wedding industry craziness, so we took off and combined a honey moon and wedding. We had sooo much fun. We got married in Rome, then went to Florence and Pisa then came back to Rome to get blessed and then went off to Venice. No expense spared, it was very cool !
Few more pics...
By Pantheon
Fun with Romans by the Colosseum
Spanish Steps
We went all day all over Rome just snapping pictures, we had a blast !

Great pictures!
We did Rome, Florence and the Isle of Capri. We took over a small hotel in the country and had some unbelievable meals.
Most spectacular was the Colosseum, we were right in it and I was blown away by the size and complexity of it. All those chambers/hallways. Amazing! I was ready at any moment to see some prisoners get slaughtered!

...that chair looks quite comfortable... I was wondering why The Pope looked so sleepy all the time...
That's neat to have met him, he was a very high figure in religion and the world in general...
Haven't met anyone famous, but have seen Jerry Springer roaming the streets here in Sarasota... and saw him recently getting his new silver convertible Mercedes washed at Eager Beaver Car Wash at after hours... almost wanted to chant "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!"...

What an amazing picture!!!! That is something to be so proud of. I would get a nice frame and hang that one up forever :c)
Here's my famous person picture
Lindsay Lohan and my Dad.
Lindsay's mom is my Dad's cousin. This was taken at her grandfather's funeral. (My Dad's uncle) Her mom gave us our first dog - she named her Libby because she was big into the Women's Lib movement hehe
I worked at a nice restaurant in Manchester NH and sat Adam Sandler when he was on Saturday Night Live. I had no clue who he was then hehe. I worked with his sister...
Had dinner at a fancy place in Miami and we were all sure this was Gwen Stephani (sp?) But it turns out she was very pregnant at the time and this girl who looked just like her was so NOT pregnant. So I doubt it hehe!!
Met the guys at Miami Ink.... got my first and only tattoo
OK I can stop name dropping now. None of these is nearly as cool as Marty's picture. BTW - your wife is beautiful!
