Interesting stuff. I'd like to try bonsai eventually just for the challenge.

Thanks everyone!

I'm actually looking at their "One of a Kind" junipers. They have so many to choose from, and you get what is pictured. They also state the age and height, so I'm hoping to pick something out today!

If you have any interest in an indoor, flowering bonsai, easy ones include: pimenta, citrus, pomegranate. They have pomegranate trees bred to produce poms at a smaller size and these are ideal. I took a cutting from my allspice (pimanta) and when it gets older, I plan to use it.

Really?!!! I'm going to look at those too then.

The issue with indoor is that we don't have a good place that gets a lot of bright light. My tropicals and orchids do ok, but with over 100 orchids and over 100 tropicals, space is at a premium, lol...

If you buy a pom that is meant for containers, they are perfect. Mine were pollinated by the hummingbirds and we did get smaller but yummy poms. Unfortuanately, two years ago, some beastie ate it but I plan to replace it this spring. They are very easy, hardy little trees.
Bonsai Boy does have a nice selection of flowering bonsai. Before buying one, just write down all the interesting ones and google them to weed out those that are not as impressive or are difficult. I liked one in a land/water pot...I think that is how I will set up the allspice I plan to butcher...train.

Lol... Butcher... That would be me!

I saw the land water one. It is really cool, isn't it!!

While I'd love to have jasmine or a fruit, I just don't think I can care for it, ie lighting. So, thus far I've narrowed it down to 4 of the One of a Kind Junipers that was suggested by Gage.

From what Im reading about Poms is that they require morning sun or filtered light if indoor and in container.

Junipers are very tough. I doubt you will have any trouble with it. If you really like flowering bonsai, that could always be your next one.
Wow, they have quite a selection! I like the little forests, too. Have fun, Paul!
