I have some photos on my camera. I'll post them tomorrow. I'll try to get a few more tonight if it's not too dark in here.

Yeah the names I don't care about, I care more about color. I saw a really awesome amaryllis once it was a green and white double I think. It was so cool! I've seen photos of some cool alien looking flowers too. I'll have to see if I can find photos again!

I may go our garden center and see if they have the winter bulbs on sale yet. I think they had some on sale a couple weeks ago (we go so often because it's a grocery store and garden center in one, makes it hard to not buy an orchid if I see a great one!!)

Carrie- I can't believe wff sent you a rotten bulb and didn't replace you with the same one. They claim they provide the best in the market.

It is very important to get healthy bulbs. Many of the smaller ones I see on farmers market show virus signs on the leaves.

Names are very important for identification reason. I shop around online and most vendors carry correct names, but sometimes you see the same variety sold with a different name. I guess that's allowed.
The thing is that it just confuses people like me who knows the names and is looking for that specific variety.
By the way, I couldn't find any amaryllis under dark knight. I think I'm going to try Liberty and one other that I can't recall the name from wff. They look true red and still available. I will have to email them and make sure what their return policy is like though. I wouldn't accept any inferior quality for a bulb that costs over $20.

It's funny, one of my close friends really hate paperwhite for the same reason. She says they smell like a stinky bathroom.

Will post pics when I have mine out. it will be awhile since I left them cooling in the garage until only a few days ago - I forgot about them. All but two are now in the GH, which is on the cool side, so I expect flowers in Feb or so just when the winter doldrums set in

wow great view of the river!! Awesome!

It's not dark knight, it's black knight. I'll try to find a link. They sell them locally, not sure who else would carry them. But the bulbs this store has for $25 are GREAT! They're the best looking bulbs you'd find anywhere! I didn't have time to see if they had any on sale, I may try again, but I hate shopping anywhere near christmas! This store has locations in Newburgh and poughkeepsie if you ever feel like a crazy train ride just for a bulb!

Carrie that is a nice pink!

have you ordered from that place you linked too? I'm looking around for some bulb suppliers for next year. I order from tulipworld and like their stuff, but sometimes they seem overpriced, but sometimes not. ?? Locally bulbs used to be so cheap, but now they're minimum $.75-$1.00 each! That's crazy for a daffodil or tulip bulb! I normally plant about 100 daffodils a year and luckily they still sell those discount bags for around $20 for 50.

Garedngirl13, I have ordered many times from Easy to Grow Bulbs and not been disappointed! I usually start with them when looking for bulbs that I cannot get locally.
